I DON’T KNOW WHAT ZAMBIANS DID TO DESERVE PEOPLE LIKE YOU IN FOREIGN SERVICE,   SISHUWA UNDRESSES MUNSHYA

Hello Elias Munshya,

Thank you for your response. I would have been concerned if you had said anything sensible on such a serious subject that requires sober and nonpartisan reflection. I know that you simply lack both the critical distance and the depth of mind needed to marshal or proffer a reasoned argument.

On the many occasions when I have had to either read what you have written or listen to you speaking, what has struck me most about you, Elias, is your intellectual inability to express ideas that go beyond triviality, parroting the official line, or zealot support for the very things that cause outrage among sane human beings. I have never detected any originality on your part in your analyses which you make from the standpoint that you clearly regard as very learned, rare and important.

It might be that there is no spark of originality in you, or it might be that you are holding it in reserves. Since, however, I have listened to you, Elias, for a long time and you have never hesitated to express your opinions on a wide variety of subjects, on nearly anything, I would incline towards the former hypothesis.

When I first came across you views, Elias, I was very much struck by your initiative. You evidently knew nothing about professional history, and you knew little about political analysis, but you struck out on your own, and that seemed to me to be admirable and worthy encouraging. But what struck me most was your obstinate conventionality and apparent fear of being led into paths which might disturb your rather simple and extremely limited view of things.

It is a great pity because you noticeably like to talk and are not inhibited when it comes to expressing your opinions. I think you also have a very good IQ. But somehow, either the security of narrow-mindedness or the grip of conceit on a human mind seems to have got the better of you. I first noticed the latter in the run up to the 2021 election.  At the time, you were a PhD student at a theological seminary in South Africa. I thought it would pass. Thus far, and based on your many public interventions since, it has not. If anything, it has got worse.

Consider your extremely poor response to this post. Instead of responding to what I have actually said in the article, demonstrating weakness in the points I have made, you start responding to arguments I have not made. Argh, Elias! Are you this bad? There are certain subjects over which all of us as patriots should speak with one mind, regardless of our stations in life or political leanings. One of these subjects are changes to our country’s constitution that threaten the very foundation of nationhood and our democracy.

If your head, like that of your boss, is carrying no love for Zambia, please learn to keep quiet when serious matters are being discussed or rather continue posting conceited images of yourself on your X social media accounts that provide revealing insight into the jokes we now have for Zambia’s diplomats, a far cry from the hey or inspiring days of Vernon Mwaanga, Rupiah Banda, and Lazarus Kapambwe.

I do not know what Zambians did to deserve people like you as their representatives in the foreign service. In a country with a national leadership that respects the people and considers the diplomatic service as an essential part of a professional civil service that should be the engine of development, individuals like you, Elias Munshya, would be nowhere near a serious public leadership role. But hey, everything goes in Hichilema’s Zambia!

  1. When you think you know it all Sishula! You are writing the same thing going around without making much sense. We are not all your students you give history lectures. It’s sad that Zambia produces people like you Sishula who think they know it all, yet only riding on the ego you have.I don’t know what you smoke but take it easy bro

  2. Bo Sishua likes prembulating around and most times writes dossiers that are designed to undermine other intellectuals so that he remains with the monopoly of thinking.Dr Elias Munshya is a very brilliant high commissioner who is well placed that side of the world.

  3. I hate ad hominem writings in which one person tries to humiliate the other by attacking the person and not the argument.

  4. Shidhuwa that is just a confirmation of your soar grapes. Nomadic living as a professional, with self grading as the most educated, learned, intelligent a qualified person for the highest position in the society, makes individuals behave like shidhuwa. Because of failures in getting the unrealistic ultimate goals or posts, they end up attacking everyone and everything on their way. He doesn’t even realize that there are numerous numbers of more learned professional in the serving government. As for HH, he is a great blessing to our nation
In other words, we are lucky as a nation to have a leader, HH. In case you don’t know, 1. HH is hardworking and visionary
    2. HH is innovative with national transformation spirit
    3. HH treats all areas equally
    4. HH is pragmatic. Free education, students meal allowances, council workers salaries. Employed public servants, increased cdf, bursaries for skills, increased social cash transfer, Cash for work, reopening of mines, pertial NApsa payment etc
5 HH is champion of peace and freedom enhancing
6 HH is advocate of rule of law, a stance which is affecting the criminals
7 HH doesn’t tolerate corruption and thievery, another stance which criminals don’t like
    8. HH has improved international relations
    9. HH wanted equity and efficience in the distribution of cdf by splitting the vast and over populated constituencies.
HH is a true economist, who loves Zambia as whole
    6. Democratic champion

  5. Sishuwa Sishuwa complains against personal attacks when he’s on the receiving end. But here he is indulging in personal attacks against the estimable High Commissioner of the Republic of Zambia to Australia and New Zealand Elias Munshya. Please live up to the standards you want others to adopt.
