I refuse to be number 3 again in these elections – Kalaba
CITIZENS First presidential candidate Harry Kalaba says he has no intentions of repeating his 2021 election performance, stating that he will not settle for third place in this year’s presidential race.
Kalaba, who finished third in the 2021 General Election behind late president Edgar Lungu and President Hakainde Hichilema, said he is entering the August 13 polls with only one goal.
“I came third in the 2021 general elections. I am not coming third again in the 2026 elections,” Kalaba said.
Speaking during a church service in Katete, the former Foreign Affairs minister said his party is confident of improving its performance and believes Zambians will give it a stronger mandate this time around.
Kalaba is among the 14 presidential candidates seeking to unseat President Hichilema in the August 13 General Election.
Kalaba has continued criss-crossing the country in search of votes and expressed confidence of emerging victorious when Zambians head to the polls.
