Indo Zambia Bank Set to Open Mwandi Branch Within Three Months, says Iris Kaingu
Indo Zambia Bank is expected to open a branch in Mwandi within the next three months, following engagements between the bank and Mwandi Member of Parliament Hon. Iris Kamwi Kaingu.
Hon. Kaingu disclosed the development during an engagement with Mwandi Town Council workers and other key stakeholders at the Catholic Hall in Mwandi this afternoon.
The meeting, held shortly after the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected civic leaders, focused on challenges affecting service delivery and development in the district.
Hon. Kaingu said discussions with Indo Zambia Bank are progressing towards establishing a branch in Mwandi, which would improve access to banking services for residents, businesses and other stakeholders in the district.
She also disclosed that engagements are underway with ZAMPOST regarding a building in Mwandi’s Central Business District, with the development expected to contribute to improved access to postal and related services.
Stakeholders at the meeting raised several concerns affecting the district, including the state of road infrastructure, inadequate mobile network coverage, limited banking services and the need for greater support to critical sectors such as agriculture and veterinary services.
The stakeholders said addressing these challenges would help improve economic activity and service delivery in Mwandi
Hon. Kaingu reaffirmed that her office remains open to continued engagement with council workers, civic leaders and other stakeholders in finding solutions to issues affecting the people of Mwandi.
