Iran Claims Capture of Second U.S. Underwater Drone in Strait of Hormuz
Iran has announced the capture of what it describes as a second U.S. underwater drone in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it intercepted an autonomous REMUS 600 unmanned underwater vehicle during an operation involving intelligence gathering and electronic warfare.
According to Iranian claims, the underwater drone was conducting surveillance and intelligence-collection missions in the strategic waterway.
The IRGC said Iranian specialists have been tasked with examining the vehicle and extracting data from its internal systems.
