Iran Claims Its Air Defense Capabilities Are Stronger Than During the 40-Day War

Iranian Army spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia has claimed that the country’s air defense capabilities have improved significantly since the 40-day war.

According to reports attributed to Bloomberg and Al-Manar, Iran has undertaken several measures to strengthen its defensive network, including repairing military equipment damaged during the conflict, deploying new defense systems, developing updated operational plans, and conducting joint military exercises.

The reported measures are intended to expand air defense coverage across Iran and improve the armed forces’ ability to respond to potential aerial attacks.

🇮🇷 Iran’s message: Akraminia said the country’s armed forces are prepared to confront future threats, signaling Tehran’s determination to strengthen its defenses amid continuing tensions with the United States and Israel.

⚠️ Independent verification remains important. Although Iran claims its air defenses have improved, the actual operational readiness of its radar networks, missile systems, and interception capabilities has not been independently established. It remains unclear how effectively the upgraded systems would perform against a large-scale U.S.-Israeli air campaign.

🌍 The key question: Has Iran rebuilt enough of its air defense network to make a future attack significantly more difficult, or would its defenses still face serious challenges against advanced aircraft, missiles, and electronic warfare systems?
