BREAKING: Iran Halts LPG Exports to Pakistan After Border Closure

Iran has suspended exports of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to Pakistan after Pakistan closed its border with Iran, reportedly following pressure from the United States.

Iran had been supplying around 50% of Pakistan’s imported LPG, making the disruption a significant blow to the country’s energy supply.

The price of a 12-kilogram LPG cylinder has reportedly surged within days from around 4,500 Pakistani rupees ($16) to 7,000 rupees . ma($25), with further increases expected.

The development highlights Pakistan’s reliance on Iranian LPG and underscores Iran’s role as a critical energy supplier to its neighbors.
