Iran Reportedly Uses Delaying Strategy to Pressure U.S. Weapons Stockpiles

Iranian intelligence reportedly assesses that the United States has expended a significant number of long-range guided missiles over the past several months.

By prolonging negotiations, Tehran is seeking additional time to assess and replenish its own military stockpiles while allowing continued volatility in global oil prices to create longer-term economic pressure on the U.S. government.

The strategy reflects an attempt to use time, military consumption and economic pressure as leverage amid ongoing tensions between Tehran and Washington.
