Iran Rules Out Removing Enriched Nuclear Material, Sets Conditions for Talks With US
Senior Iranian official Mohsen Rezaei has reportedly delivered a firm message during a meeting with Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, declaring that Iran will not allow any of its enriched nuclear material to be removed from the country.
“Not even a tiny dust of enriched nuclear material will leave Iran,” Rezaei reportedly said.
He also stressed that Tehran would not enter negotiations with Washington unless the United States takes concrete steps to build Iran’s confidence and fulfils its stated conditions.
According to the reported remarks, Iran considers the fulfilment of its demands a necessary first step toward rebuilding trust and creating the conditions for further negotiations.
The statements underscore Tehran’s hard-line position on its nuclear programme and suggest that any renewed diplomatic engagement with Washington could depend on progress over Iran’s demands.
