Iran Says It Has Shot Down U.S. MQ-9 Reaper Drone Near Kharg Island
Iran has claimed that its forces shot down a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone that was allegedly targeting Kharg Island, a strategically important Iranian island in the Persian Gulf.
According to Iranian authorities, the American drone was brought down over the waters near the Strait of Hormuz, amid heightened tensions between Tehran and Washington and continued military activity across the region.
