IRANIAN LAWMAKER SAYS THE TIME HAS COME FOR IRAN TO BUILD A NUCLEAR BOMB

Tensions surrounding Iran’s nuclear programme continue to escalate after Iranian lawmaker Ahmad Bakhshayesh Ardestani, a member of parliament’s national security committee, declared that Iran should now pursue the development of a nuclear weapon.

“I think the time has now come for Iran to build the nuclear bomb, because it has paid enough of the costs and fought its battles,” Ardestani said.

He also commented on Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi’s recent visit to Oman, stating that while Oman has acted as a partner to Iran in the Strait of Hormuz, the country remains heavily influenced by the United States and its regional allies.

“In reality, the United States speaks to us through Oman,” he added.

The remarks are likely to intensify Western concerns over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and could further increase tensions in the Middle East at a time when regional stability remains fragile.
