Iran’s hardline daily urges continued attacks to break US maritime blockade

Iran’s hardline Kayhan newspaper on Monday urged Tehran to continue its attacks and break what it called a maritime blockade, warning that renewed trust in US diplomacy would be a “fatal mistake.”

“Trusting the deception of negotiations again would be a fatal mistake. Now is not the time to halt military action, but to consolidate the new order by continuing forceful attacks and breaking the maritime blockade,” it wrote.

The report said the US forces had become bogged down in the Persian Gulf and needed a pause to rebuild its military capabilities.

It argued that no location in the Persian Gulf used by Iran’s adversaries or their supporters should be considered safe until Iranian oil exports were fully secure.
