IRGC Claims No U.S. Warships Remain in the Persian Gulf
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims that the U.S. naval presence in the Persian Gulf has completely collapsed since the conflict began in February.
IRGC spokesman General Hossein Mohebi said Tuesday, August 11, that the United States previously had between 30 and 40 warships in the region.
“Today, not even a single American warship is present in the Persian Gulf,” Mohebi claimed.
The statement has not been independently verified and comes amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran.
