IRGC DISMISSES TRUMP BACKCHANNEL CLAIMS AS FANTASY AS DIPLOMATIC CHANNELS REMAIN CLOSED

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has explicitly denied claims made by US President Donald Trump regarding secret backchannel negotiations over the ongoing conflict between Washington and Tehran.

Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency on Monday, IRGC spokesperson Brigadier General Hossein Mohebbi described Washington’s claims of direct contact as purely fictional.

Mohebbi stated that no dialogue is taking place with US officials, attributing Trump’s remarks to strategic desperation and setbacks on the battlefield.

He clarified that while the military force demonstrates its stance directly on the field, formal diplomatic affairs fall under the jurisdiction of Iran’s Foreign Ministry, which has also reported no ongoing talks.

Tehran continues to point to Washington’s history of broken commitments and suspended agreements as the primary barrier to reentering diplomatic negotiations.

Mohebbi also accused the White House of using public statements about potential talks to temporarily influence global oil markets and stabilize energy prices.

The spokesperson emphasized that the only path forward for Washington is to acknowledge its strategic limits and meet Iran’s stated conditions to end the confrontation.

The conflicting narratives highlight a sharp divide between Washington’s public assertions of active contact and Tehran’s firm refusal to engage without concrete diplomatic guarantees.
