Israel Raises Defense Alert Amid Reports of Possible U.S. Strikes on Iran

Israel has reportedly elevated its national defense alert level following media reports that U.S. President Donald Trump is considering military strikes targeting Iranian infrastructure and energy facilities, according to Ynet on Saturday.

Israeli security officials are said to believe that any direct American attack on strategic targets inside Iran could prompt Tehran to retaliate against Israel, potentially through missile or drone attacks, as well as actions by Iran-backed armed groups across the region.

The heightened alert reportedly includes increased readiness for Israel’s air defense systems, closer monitoring of regional military activity, and enhanced preparedness by security forces to respond to possible escalation. Authorities are also said to be coordinating closely with the United States while assessing potential developments.

The reports come amid rising tensions between Washington and Tehran, with concerns growing that strikes on Iran’s critical infrastructure or energy sector could significantly widen the conflict and increase the risk of a broader regional confrontation.

As of now, there has been no official confirmation from the White House or the Pentagon that such strikes have been approved or are imminent.

Likewise, Israeli authorities have not publicly detailed the reported changes to their defense posture. The situation remains fluid as regional governments closely monitor developments.
