ITS TRUE I HAVE PETITIONED AUGUST 13 POLL RESULTS.
The voice of the people of Mpulungu South has been clear, and I have listened with humility and respect. They asked difficult questions, they shared evidence of what concerned them, and they petitioned me to act on their behalf regarding the August 13 poll results.
After careful reflection and consultation, I am pleased to announce that the People’s Petition was officially filed and further details will be shared in due course.
As you may be aware, today marks exactly 14 days since the ECZ announced the results for Mpulungu South -a period of constitutional significance, as it is the strict timeframe within which petitions must be lodged. We have acted within the law, with discipline, and with integrity.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who visited, encouraged, messaged, and prayed for me. Your strength has been my anchor. As a democrat, I hold firmly that elections are the foundation of any thriving democracy.
It is no secret that the August 13 polls in Mpulungu South were marred by glaring irregularities. We observed them carefully, documented them diligently, and reported them responsibly to the relevant authorities. Winning elections must never be pursued at all costs or through hook or crook. Politics is a service, not a career, and leadership must always honour the people’s trust.
For now, we allow the wheels of justice to turn. With God’s grace and the courage of our convictions, we live to fight another day.
I remain your #JuniorMP
