Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma’s Facebook Account Suspended Over Alleged “Adult Sexual Solicitation”; Given 180 Days to Appeal

JOHANNESBURG — Facebook has suspended the account of March and March Movement leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, citing an alleged violation of its Community Standards on adult sexual solicitation.

The suspension took effect on 6 November 2026, according to screenshots of the Meta notification shared by supporters and other pages.

The account is no longer visible to other Facebook users and cannot be used.

The notification states: “Your account, or activity on it, doesn’t follow our Community Standards on adult sexual solicitation.”

Ngobese-Zuma has been given 180 days to appeal the decision before the account is permanently disabled. Facebook said it could request additional information from her to assist in reviewing the suspension.

The March and March Movement confirmed on Saturday that its leader’s Facebook page had been taken down.

Ngobese-Zuma is the founder and leader of March and March, a controversial anti-illegal immigration movement that has gained prominence through protests demanding stricter immigration enforcement and prioritisation of South African citizens.

Facebook has not publicly provided any additional explanation beyond the reason stated in the suspension notification.

That has fuelled speculation online. Some supporters have suggested the restriction may stem from malicious mass-reporting by opponents, while critics have celebrated the action.

Neither claim has been verified by Meta, and the notification alone does not independently establish whether the alleged violation actually occurred.

The movement has warned followers to be cautious of duplicate profiles, saying Ngobese-Zuma does not currently have an alternative or new Facebook account. Any new accounts appearing under her name at this time should be treated as potentially fraudulent.

This is not the first time Ngobese-Zuma has lost a major social media account.

On 17 June 2026, her TikTok account was permanently banned. At the time, the account had more than 378,000 followers and over 3.1 million likes, making it one of the most visible platforms for her activism.

Writing to her then 923,000 followers on Facebook, Ngobese-Zuma confirmed she did not have a backup account after her handle, @jacinta_mangobesezuma, was removed. Attempts to access the profile returned a “Couldn’t find this account” error.

TikTok did not issue a specific public statement on the grounds for the permanent suspension, and it was not clear if the ban was linked to specific content or a general violation of community guidelines.

With the Facebook suspension, Ngobese-Zuma has now lost her two largest social media platforms within five months.

Supporters are now watching to see whether her team will successfully navigate Meta’s appeal process to restore the original Facebook profile.
