Jah Prayzah Cancels Jacaranda Music Festival Performance After Wicknell Chivayo’s Death
Jah Prayzah and 3G The Band have withdrawn from the Jacaranda Music Festival.
The announcement comes a day after Jah Prayzah postponed his much-anticipated wedding, which was scheduled to take place over the weekend.
Jah Prayzah Cancels Festival Performance
In a statement shared on Facebook, the musician said he would not be taking to the stage at the festival as originally planned.
“It is with a heavy heart that I share that 3G The Band and I will unfortunately not be able to perform at Jacaranda Music Festival today,” he wrote.
Jah Prayzah said the recent loss had deeply affected him and his team, making it difficult for them to proceed with the performance.
“Following the recent tragedy and loss that has deeply affected me and the entire team, we are simply not in a position to go on stage at this time,” he said.
Festival To Continue
Despite his withdrawal, Jah Prayzah encouraged fans who had planned to attend the event to continue supporting the festival.
He also thanked the Jacaranda Music Festival organisers for understanding the decision and supporting him and his team during the difficult period.
“We would like to sincerely thank the Jacaranda Music Festival team for their understanding and support during this difficult time,” he wrote.
“The festival continues as planned, and to everyone who had intended to attend, please still go out and support Jacaranda Music Festival. We wish the entire team a successful event.”
Jah Prayzah also thanked fans and well-wishers for the messages of comfort he has received during the difficult period.
“We appreciate all the love, support and words of comfort that we have received and continue to receive during this difficult time.
