Jason Derulo Shares Stage With Zambian Fan In Lusaka

A dream came true for a Zambian dancer last night when she was invited on stage to dance with international superstar Jason Derulo.

The fan, who introduced herself as Judy, could not hide her disbelief as she stood beside the artist she has looked up to for years.

Speaking with an excited and shaky voice, she told the American singer that he was the reason she started dancing.

“I can’t believe I’m saying this, but you are the one who made me start dancing,” Judy confessed on stage.

Derulo gave her a warm hug and then allowed her to show what she could do. Judy did not disappoint as she thrilled the crowd with her impressive Chikok dance moves.

Before Derulo’s headline set, Zambian stars had already set the stage on fire.

Yo Maps had fans singing word-for-word to his hit songs, while Mampi, the Queen Diva, proved why she is still one of Zambia’s most loved female entertainers with her powerful performance.

Veteran artist Danny Kaya also delivered a memorable set and surprised fans when he invited legendary producer TK to join him on stage.

Mwila and the Band kept the energy high with their live instruments, and Zimbabwe’s Tamy Moyo brought a different flavour with her performance.

Derulo was performing in Zambia for the very first time, headlining the 2026 Stanbic Music Festival at Polo Fields A, Lusaka Showgrounds, as part of his The Last Dance World Tour.

The “Whatcha Say” star came with his own dancers and live band, giving fans a night full of singing, dancing and cheering.
