In an acrobatic turn of events, the upnd has overturned the adoption of Joseph MUBANGA for kasama central constituency and have since picked former northern province permanent secretary Bernard MPUNDU.
Mr mubanga who has just enjoyed possession of adoption certificate for 2 days received the sad news today after the party entered into a tough hunt for a replacement.
Mubanga’s adoption got strong opposition from upnd structures who claimed that mr mubanga was not suitable enough to get desired results owing to kasama being a hot bed of politics in the province.
Mr MPUNDU will file his nominations tomorrow.

This sad turn of events will cost dearly soon. As clearly seen even Traditional Chiefs and their traditional advisory teams are unhappy in some cases where the candidates chosen are not wanted.
What exactly is the aim for chosing an unwanted candidate by those tasked with this responsibility. If you want to win, it is obvious you team up with the popular candidate.
This has been understood very well where the party has adopted popular candidates where the party is weak. Why would they deliberately choose a candidate who will be rejected by the voters on the ground in their own strong holds. This makes no sense at all. Something is terribly wrong.no wound double certification is going on a ridiculous scale which is not coincidental. Some people need to be reprimanded quickly before a major lose takes place.
This arrogance and disregard of the desire of the people on the ground is unwise and self defeating. How is it logically assumed that the same people will vote for these rejected candidates. If this is not sorted out immediately the results on the ground will be self induced disaster.
One thing which is very puzzling is why those charged with this responsibility are not willing to move with the person who is popular on the ground. Are they deliberately causing independent candidates? Do you really want to win?
