KAMBWILI SUFFERS DEFEAT IN ROAN CONSTITUENCY
Citizens First parliamentary candidate and political animal Chishimba Kambwili has lost the Roan Constituency Parliamentary seat to UPND candidate Joel Chibuye in the 2026 General Election.
Chibuye has retained the Roan seat after defeating Kambwili in the August 13 parliamentary election.
The defeat is a major setback for Kambwili popularly regarded as a political heavyweight who was seeking a return to Parliament under the Citizens First banner.
Chibuye’s victory allows the UPND to retain its hold on Roan as the governing party records another parliamentary win on the Copperbelt.
Zambians went to the polls on August 13, 2026, to elect the President, Members of Parliament, mayors, council chairpersons and councillors.
Well done Roan constituency.
Mr. Kambwili is an extremely divisive figure and shoukd be consigned to the political garbage heap.
