KEVIN O’LEARY SAYS MIDTERMS ARE DEAD CLOSE AND POLLS MEAN NOTHING WHILE AMERICANS STRUGGLE TO AFFORD GROCERIES
Kevin O’Leary just cut through the noise on NewsNation and laid it out plain. He is not trusting the polls or the prediction markets heading into the midterms. He calls this race very close no matter what the numbers say right now.
“This is going to be a VERY, very close election, and it will be based on how people are feeling about the future. It’s always that way.”
O’Leary says the president has his work cut out for him. He needs to crisscross the nation in the next 48 hours and express real optimism for the next 24 months. Voters will decide based on whether they believe the country is heading in the right direction.
“I mean, it’s close as you know what…”
He is blunt about the data everyone else is watching. “I’m not looking at the polls, I don’t care and the predictive markets have been wrong a lot about this.” He says the only thing that matters is waiting until 12 to 24 hours after the election to see the actual results.
The clip shows why voters are uneasy. A Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll found the share of Americans who see groceries as unaffordable jumped from 45 percent in February to 60 percent now. One in six U.S. households is behind on utility bills according to the National Energy Assistance Directors Association. High prices at the store and rising costs at home are driving the mood.
O’Leary’s point is simple. Kitchen-table realities will decide this election, not the polls or the markets that keep missing the mark.
