Kim Jong Un Inspects North Korean Arms Factory as Pyongyang Highlights Military Production
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has inspected an arms manufacturing facility, reviewing the production of military equipment and receiving briefings from senior officials on the factory’s operations.
State media reported that Kim examined the facility’s production capabilities and stressed the importance of expanding and improving the country’s defense-industrial capacity.
The inspection comes as North Korea continues to emphasize the modernization of its armed forces, including the development and production of missiles, artillery systems, drones and other military technologies.
Kim has repeatedly called for greater investment in domestic weapons production and for defense factories to increase both the quality and quantity of equipment supplied to the Korean People’s Army.
The latest inspection underscores Pyongyang’s continued focus on strengthening its military-industrial base amid heightened security tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
