KIM’S SISTER SAYS ONLY IDIOTS THINK NORTH KOREA WILL GIVE UP NUKES
Kim Yo Jong has called North Korea’s nuclear status absolute and irreversible.
She said only “idiots” believe Pyongyang will denuclearise.
She is not wrong. North Korea has tested six nuclear devices. It has missiles that can reach the US mainland. It has written nuclear weapons into its constitution.
And Trump still thinks he can charm Kim into giving them up.
Trump has said he has a “very good relationship” with Kim. He cut joint military drills with South Korea to please him. He says he wants to meet again.
But Kim has already said no. His foreign ministry rejected any talks focused on denuclearisation. His sister just called anyone who believes it an idiot.
The lesson is simple. North Korea watched what happened to Libya. Gaddafi gave up his nuclear programme. He was killed anyway. North Korea will never make that mistake.
Trump is pursuing a fantasy. He wants a historic summit. He wants a photo op. He wants a Nobel Prize.
North Korea wants to keep its bombs.
Trump is negotiating with himself. Kim is not at the table.
What happens when the only person who believes in denuclearisation is the one who already has the world’s largest nuclear arsenal.
