WHERE I COME FROM in Chama District, Mphyanakunda village of Chief Lundu, we dont beat our own drums but today allow me to speak to that Person suffering, struggling with school fees, rentals, Business capital, medical bills etc.

In my humble journey through life i want to confess that Life is what you make of it and not what people see on Social media.

Many people feel discouraged whenever they want to start a business or to buy land to build a house. When you are not doing well friends shun your calls they rarely visit and life passes on.

From the shallow beginnings of my youth to the apex on my career as a Lawyer i have done business and have learnt that no single Friend or family member will carry your burdens with you.

Uneducated people have become more successful than graduates because we school leavers and graduates veil ourselves in a belief that graduates can only take up high paying prestigious white collar jobs.

I suffered as a boy and told myself that i needed to lift myself out of poverty with God’s hand.

I proudly started street vending with 8 points waiting to go into the university of Zambia looking for school fees.

Friends and family said i needed a mental checkup for becoming a street vendor. I ignored them all. People laughed and mocked me. I did not mind.

Today Student bursaries are not very easy but you can do your best to help yourself.
I raised University fees from one of Africa’s dirtiest markets that time. Soweto Market in Lusaka in 1998.

I went to university not knowing who will pay the next semester fees. At University of Zambia i used to sell Popcorns every evening to raise money for school and that time we had thousands of students buying popcorns everyday. During the day you are on class and at night you are raising school fees. Not very fashionable that time.

I graduated with my own sweat and hardwork. My experience is that no business is too small for you. Do it now.

May Tutwa’s Soul Continue to Rest In Peace
