LUMEZI TEACHER’S MAN00D INJURED AFTER CONFRONTING WIFE OVER ALLEGED AFFAIR

A 42-year-old teacher in Lumezi District, Eastern Province, has been left with injuries to his private parts after his wife allegedly attacked him during a confrontation over suspected infidelity.

The victim, identified as Gamaliel Lungu, reportedly sustained a cut to his manhood after his wife, Agness Shanze, allegedly grabbed and pulled it with her artificial nails during a physical altercation.

Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Robertson Mweemba confirmed the incident to the Media in a statement, saying it happened on Sunday, October 25, 2026, between 16:00 and 20:00 hours.

According to police, the dispute began after Lungu discovered messages on his wife’s phone suggesting she was allegedly involved in a romantic relationship with another man based in Lusaka.

Lungu reportedly became suspicious of his wife’s behaviour following her return from Lusaka, where she had travelled to sell maize bran using money he had given her to start a business.
Police say tensions escalated when Lungu came across a message from a contact saved as “B Levy Phiri”, expressing how much he missed Shanze

Further examination of the messages allegedly revealed that the two had been exchanging intimate photographs.

When confronted, Shanze allegedly smashed the phone before the argument turned physical.

During the confrontation, she is accused of grabbing her husband’s private parts, causing injuries that required medical attention.

Lungu was taken to Lumezi Mission Hospital, where medical personnel treated the wound and stitched the injured area.
Shanze allegedly fled the scene following the incident.

Police have since launched investigations into the matter.
Zambia Reports will continue to follow this story as investigations progress.
