Bowman Lusambo sues Mercy Matongo for alleging that they were in a relationship and he fathered her three children

Patriotic Front Kabushi Constituency Member of Parliament Bowman Lusambo has sued a Lusaka resident Mercy Matongo in the Lusaka high court for alleging that she was in a relationship with him and fathered three children.

In his statement of claim filed before court, Mr.Lusambo states that Matongo on the 28th of September, 2021 featured on Prime TV News, were she accused him of having been in a relationship with her for eight years.

The Kabushi Lawmaker submitted that Matongo went further to allege that he fathered three children with her but he has abandoned them and she is currently pregnant.

Mr.Lusambo has told the Lusaka high court that the sentiments expressed by matongo meant that he has been committing adultery for the past eight years.

He states that the sentiment are injurious to his reputation and has lowered his estimation in the eyes of members of the society given the fact that he is a public figure.

He is seeking for damages for libel , a retraction and apology for the statements as well as an order for a DNA test to be conducted.
