Macron Blames Middle East Conflicts for Rising Fuel Prices and Economic Pressure

French President Emmanuel Macron has blamed the rising cost of fuel and growing economic pressures in France on the impact of conflicts in the Middle East, particularly the wars involving Iran and Yemen

Macron said France is being affected by conflicts in which it has had no direct role, as instability in the region continues to put pressure on energy markets and the wider economy.

He acknowledged that French citizens have every right to protest and voice their frustration over deteriorating living conditions. However, he strongly warned that violence, looting, and attacks on public or private property would not be tolerated.

Macron called for a clear distinction between the right to peaceful protest and acts of violence and destruction that threaten public safety and the stability of the country.

The French president’s remarks come as rising energy costs and broader economic pressures continue to fuel public frustration across France.
