MAKEBI ZULU ATTRACTS NEARLY A MILLION SUPPORTERS AT LUWINGU RALLY, PLEDGES TO LOWWR COST OF LIVING WITHIN 100 DAYS
Luwingu District came to a standstill as nearly one million people reportedly attended a campaign rally addressed by Makebi Zulu, the running mate to presidential candidate Brian Mundubile.
Addressing the massive crowd, Zulu pledged that a government under their leadership would adopt a zero-tolerance approach to political violence, stating that no Zambian would be subjected to intimidation and that political cadres would not be tolerated.
He also promised to expand employment opportunities for young people, saying qualified youths would be given fair access to jobs while opportunities would also be created for those who did not have the chance to attain formal education.
Zulu urged citizens to remain united and reject tribalism, encouraging Zambians to show love and respect for one another regardless of tribe, political affiliation or religion. He said Zambia’s progress depends on national unity and peaceful coexistence.
On the economy, Zulu pledged that his government would reduce the cost of living within its first 100 days in office, saying the measures would help ease the burden on households and allow Zambians to “breathe” financially.

The entire population of Luwingu District is about 110, 550 people (STAT-2025). In 2022 count, Luwingu had only a total of 101,142 people so my question is where did Makebi get 1 million people who they claim attended their rally…???

A million supporters! Kitwe, the second largest city has a population of around half a million. Kasama has 110,000. Where would 1 million people come from in Luwingu? From Congo?
When we say that some people are dull, some people take us to be abusive in our language. Where do you find a million voters in a small town like Luwingu? Because even in Kasama, you can hardly have such a number if at all you can. And these gentlemen should stop fooling themselves by showing crowds generated by AI, they should just face the reality. In an election like the one we are having in August, what matters most is the number of registered voters, politics is a game of numbers, the people who are registered as voters and these are the same people who will actually physically vote on the 13 th of August. So when we come to Mundubile and Makebi Zulu, where are they fooling themselves? I believe they have this data as well, the ECZ Certified Voters Register shows that Northern Province as a whole has a total of 722,403 Registered voters, what will it profit Makebi Zulu’s Media team to keep on faking the crowds at political rallies when they know very well that winning won’t come from the size of crowds but from the number of registered voters who will cast their votes on the 13th of August. Moreover these votes are not for one person, they are actually up for grabs, all the Presidential Candidates have a share there. No one should cheat himself/herself that all the Northern votes are his/hers, because such a notion is nothing but self delusional. Even if all the registered voters turned up, they can’t all vote for one person, it’s impossible. Kalaba, HH and all other presidential candidates have a share in that figure.
