Matambo acted like a cadre by confronting police officers – Kampyongo
By Mwenya Mofya
FORMER Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo says Copperbelt Province Minister Elisha Matambo’s conduct towards the traffic police officer who mounted a roadblock early on Monday morning was like that of a cadre, and not befitting of a minister.

A spade is always a spade. Lets call it as it is.
Kampyongo, where is your wife today? Why?
Cause in your household you could not distingiush between right and wrong.
What are the shift hours of police officers? How do you explain the relevance of a road block and NOT traffic control to decongest traffic during peak hours?
You just want to encourage abuse of office; a crime under the status of Zambia. Traffic officers have now began to use their positions are means to earn and extra living. Tell me the assertions of using traffic fines as a collusive act between traffic officers and senior police officers. Do an audit and see if the businesses, assets or livestyles that any of these personnel is consumerate with their income. The state is not Katondo street, that you turned into under PF. Its a credible institution. Stop seeking to compromise it.
If insoni ebuntu like Chishimba Kambwili sàid at one time, then this kapyongu would have first examined his tongue if it was worth to utter any word or speak in response to what hon. Matambo did to that PF kapyongu POLICE Officer. For me, hon. Matambo did extremely well to rebuke that overzealous excited police who was on the road to raise money for lunch because it was just to early to mount a raod block during that rush hour when workers were rushing for work. Nothing wrong in that compared to kapyonguz, ati ifwe tatwangasha with his katondo streat style of policing the nation. Otherwise this kapyongu is not worth his being to speak over the good from hon. Matambo
The Minister was absolutely right to reprimand the rogue traffic cop. He took immediate corrective measures to address the situation. He should now make a follow up by engaging the traffic cop’s seniors inorder to put in place preventive measures to avoid recurrence of the same.
Traffic cops are a nuisance and their only interest is to extort money from motorists. They have no interest in the wellbeing of road users. They are driven by greed. Those who have been victims of these predators know what I am talking about. They are merciless in their extortion.
