MEDVEDEV ACCUSES WEST OF “COLONIAL” MINDSET
Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has accused Western countries of continuing to treat other nations through what he described as a colonial mindset.
«“Western countries still behave toward other states on the basis of colonial thinking: ‘We are superior, we are strong, we are developed, and you must obey.’”»
Medvedev added:
«“No world ruler has the right to take upon himself the mission of the Almighty or the Lord God.”»
His remarks come amid growing geopolitical tensions and a shifting global balance of power, with Russia, China, Iran and other emerging powers increasingly challenging what they view as Western dominance in international affairs.
Medvedev’s message was blunt: no country has the right to consider itself the ruler of the world or demand obedience from sovereign states.
