MEDVEDEV WARNS OF GLOBAL OR NUCLEAR CONFLICT OVER UKRAINE
Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has warned that the Ukraine war could escalate into a global or even nuclear conflict if Russia fails to achieve its objectives.
Medvedev invoked Russia’s nuclear doctrine and warned that Moscow considers the supply and use of long-range Western weapons by Ukraine a potential red line.
He stressed that Russia does not want a global war, but said Moscow does not rule out such an escalation if the conflict continues to intensify.
