Missile strike hits Riyadh airport terminal, multiple people reportedly wounded
A missile struck the domestic passenger terminal complex at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on October 10, reportedly injuring multiple people.
Witnesses reported an explosion inside the airport, with injured passengers seen at the scene as more than a dozen ambulances rushed to the facility.
Parts of the airport were evacuated, while incoming flights were diverted or cancelled amid the security emergency. Airlines also suspended services to Riyadh as authorities urged passengers to check their flight status before travelling.
The strike came amid escalating attacks on Saudi infrastructure linked to the intensifying conflict involving Yemen’s Houthi movement. No group had officially claimed responsibility for Saturday’s incident at the time of reporting.
Saudi authorities had not yet released an official casualty count for the latest attack.
