MNANGAGWA IN MOZAMBIQUE AS CHIWENGA TAKES OVER AS ACTING PRESIDENT
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has left Zimbabwe for Mozambique to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the Capacity Expansion Project at the Nhamatanda Centre in Beira, Sofala Province.
Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga is acting as President during Mnangagwa’s absence.
The expansion project is expected to increase the annual capacity of the Beira-Feruka pipeline, strengthening fuel supply infrastructure and helping meet growing demand across the SADC region.
Upon completion, pumping capacity is expected to rise from three million to five million cubic metres by the end of next year
The Beira-Feruka pipeline is a key fuel supply route for Zimbabwe, making the expansion strategically important for the country and the wider region.
