BREAKING: MOHSEN REZAEI RETURNS TO IRAN’S TOP SECURITY CIRCLE
Iran has brought veteran Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Major General Mohsen Rezaei back into the country’s highest security establishment, despite recent claims that he had been killed during the conflict.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has appointed Rezaei as his representative to the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), according to an official decree.

Rezaei served as IRGC commander from 1981 to 1997 and has remained an influential figure within Iran’s political and military establishment for decades.
His appointment is particularly significant because reports and claims had circulated during the recent conflict alleging that Rezaei had been killed. Rezaei’s return also comes as Tehran faces heightened tensions with Israel, the United States and regional powers, potentially giving the military establishment greater influence over Iran’s security strategy.
