Mojtaba Khamenei Warns U.S. Forces Will Be Driven From Arabian Sea
Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has warned that U.S. and allied forces will eventually be driven out of the Middle East after suffering what he described as painful blows from Iranian forces.
In a written statement, Khamenei said enemy forces had been pushed back from waters near southern Iran toward the Arabian Sea and claimed they no longer dared to venture closer to Iranian waters around the Strait of Hormuz.
He warned that the Arabian Sea would soon also be cleared of foreign military forces, signaling Tehran’s continued determination to challenge the U.S. military presence in the region.
The statement came as Iran and the United States continued indirect talks through mediators over a possible agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, with major differences remaining over sanctions, the blockade and Iran’s nuclear program.
Iranian officials have maintained that reopening the strategic waterway remains conditional on Tehran’s demands being met.
