MUHAMBI LUNGU APPOINTMENT WELCOME
The Tonse Pamodzi Alliance in Eastern Province has welcomed President Brian Mundubile’s appointment of Muhambi Lungu as the acting Secretary General of the Alliance.
Mr. Muhambi Lungu, who has served in various party and government portfolios, brings new energy to the Alliance and is expected to spur its growth without leaving anyone behind.
The Alliance in Eastern Province is profoundly gratified by the appointment and remains grateful to President Brian Mundubile for appointing someone with a strong sense of loyalty to the people of Zambia.
The Alliance in the Province looks forward to working with the acting Secretary General to grow our membership, while keeping our former SG’ now political prisoners, Hon. Reaphel Nakachinda, Comrade Mukandila and Hon. Chilengwa, in our prayers.
Meanwhile, the alliance in Eastern Province is monitoring cases where our MPs, council chairpersons have been petitioned with keen interest and we wish to assure our members that our lawyers are adequately attending to these court cases.
6 MPs out of 14 have petitioned while 3 out of 13 council chairpersons in Eastern Province had received a petition.
We want to maintain that the alliance did not engage in any form of electoral malpractice during the just ended elections and that all our MPs, Council chairperson and councillors won elections genuinely.
