MUKUKA GIVES BOTSWANA 24 HOURS TO APOLOGISE TO ZAMBIA OVER FORMER PRESIDENT KHAMA’S DICTATOR REMARKS
Zambian Youth Advocate and Grow Zambia Agenda Ambassador Mukuka Kampamba has given Botswana 24 hours to ensure former President Ian Khama publicly apologises over remarks describing President Hakainde Hichilema as a dictator.
Mukuka has condemned the remarks as an insult to Zambians, challenging Khama to provide evidence to support his claims.
He has called on Botswana’s President Duma Boko to intervene and compel the former Head of State to apologise, warning that failure to do so could strain relations between the two neighbouring countries.
Defending President Hichilema, Mukuka said Zambia remains a democratic nation, pointing to the continued presence of opposition members in Parliament.
He further urged international investors not to be discouraged by the controversy, insisting that Zambia remains peaceful and open for business.
“Zambia welcomes investors from across the world. We remain open for business,” Mukuka said.
