MUNDUBILE, MAKEBI ZULU ARRIVE IN SOLWEZI AHEAD OF TUESDAY COURT APPEARANCE
Opposition leaders Brian Mundubile and Makebi Zulu have arrived in Solwezi today, Sunday, October 11, 2026, ahead of their court appearance scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, 2026.
The duo is expected to appear before Solwezi Principal Resident Magistrate Mambwe Mukonde in a case involving two counts of seditious practices.
The court previously declined their application to present oral evidence challenging the jurisdiction of the Solwezi court.
In this matter, Mr Mundubile and Mr Zulu face two counts of seditious practices contrary to Section 57 of the Penal Code Act, after they allegedly acted together and published material through a livestream on their respective Facebook pages, in which the publication included claims that, based on their parallel voter tabulation, the NRPUP had won the presidential election and secured a majority of parliamentary seats.
