John Cena doesn’t do parent-shaming.
John Cena has offered a brutally honest biological explanation for why he doesn’t have children, shutting down persistent public pressure and parent-shaming during an appearance on ‘What Now? with Trevor Noah’.
When co-host Eugene directly asked the 49-year-old WWE star how he managed to avoid having kids, Cena replied:
“My sperm has never fertilized an egg. That’s how I don’t have kids.”
Beyond the deadpan response, Cena pushed back against societal expectations, emphasizing that being told he would make a “good dad” doesn’t mean he is obligated to become one.
He noted that parenting is a massive, lifelong commitment you cannot simply quit after a few months if it doesn’t suit you.
Cena explained that he and his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh, reached an agreement before getting married to remain child-free, prioritizing their freedom and independent career paths instead.
