National Restoration Party (NAREP) PRESIDENT Stephen NYIRENDA has described the first UPND National budget as disaster.
In statement to the media, Mr. NYIRENDA said he has taken a lot time studying and analyzing the 2022 UPND National budget and it clearly looks attractive but its a disaster for Zambians.
Mr. NYIRENDA explained that the budget presented by Finance Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane is another beggars budget, affirming that it does not speak to or for the indigenous Zambian.
A beggars budget is one that is made with money’s derived from credit.
And Mr. NYIRENDA said it is very disappointing that UPND can present such a budget to the nation after spending over 20 years in opposition.
He said it is now clear that the UPND led Administration do not have the vision for a Zambian owned economy.
The NAREP PRESIDENT explained that the UPND 2022 National budget is still funding useless things like Food Support Initiative Program so called FSIP.
He said FSIP is a failed project started by people who did not finish thinking.
“The so called New Dawn UPND government should research on how many or which farmers actually benefit from such a useless program, maybe they will have answers which we doubt because they are overshadowed by those individuals who benefit from this killer program aimed at maiming our hard working farmers.”
“We have from day 1 stated that you cannot produce and invest in a budget without taking into consideration how much you are getting from funding some projects.” Mr. NYIRENDA said.
Meanwhile, Mr NYIRENDA says the over 30,000 civil servants to be employed in 2022 was a joke of the century because Government should not be the biggest employer as portrayed by the UPND led Administration.
Mr. NYIRENDA said
President Hichilema should first create a progressive private sector that will not only suck in all the unemployed graduates, but help educate the nation by providing an environment for every individual in their respective fields and area they come from.
“Example, let’s have Zambians from and in Western learn to produce from their environment (by the way, the sand in western province is very good for glass manufacturing). Lecture on how to trade with Eastern Province where most food products are farmed. We say again, Government should not be the biggest employer but the biggest facilitator for private companies to Excel.”
“We believe in Zambians and that’s why we keep saying Zambia is for Zambians and Only Zambians will develop Zambia.” Mr. NYIRENDA said
