NDOLA CENTRAL REJECTS FRNAK TAYALI, ELECTS MULENGA
RESOLUTE Party candidate Emmanuel Mulenga has won the parliamentary seat, defeating UPND candidate and former Transport and Logistics Minister Frank Tayali in the 2026 General Election.
Mulenga previously served as Member of Parliament for Ndola Central from 2016 to 2021 and has now made a return to Parliament.
Tayali served as Minister of Transport and Logistics from 2021 to 2026 and was contesting the seat on the UPND ticket
Mulenga’s victory marks a significant comeback to the National Assembly and another notable defeat for the governing UPND.
Zambians went to the polls on August 13 to elect the President, Members of Parliament, mayors, council chairpersons and councillors.
