NETANYAHU REJECTS PALESTINIAN STATE, VOWS ISRAELI FORCES WILL REMAIN IN GAZA
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made clear that he will not support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, saying that as long as he remains prime minister, such a state will not be created.
“As long as I am prime minister, there will be no Palestinian state,” Netanyahu said, reaffirming his long-standing opposition to Palestinian statehood.
Netanyahu also said he has rejected the proposed 15-point Gaza peace plan put forward by the peace committee, signaling that Israel is not prepared to accept the proposal in its current form.
A key point of disagreement remains the future of Israeli forces inside the Gaza Strip. Netanyahu said Israeli troops will not withdraw from Gaza until Hamas is fully disarmed, making the removal of Hamas’s weapons a central condition for any Israeli military withdrawal.
The position places further pressure on ongoing diplomatic efforts to end the conflict, as negotiations continue to face major disagreements over Palestinian statehood, Hamas’s weapons, Israeli military presence, and the future political administration of Gaza.
Netanyahu’s remarks also indicate that Israel’s government remains opposed to any peace framework that would lead directly to the creation of a sovereign Palestinian state or require an Israeli withdrawal without the complete disarmament of Hamas.
