🇮🇱🇸🇾 NETANYAHU VISITS MOUNT HERMON IN SYRIA, VOWS TO PREVENT ‘TERRORIST ARMY’ FROM REACHING ISRAEL’S BORDER

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited Mount Hermon in Syria on Wednesday, September 9, alongside Defense Minister Israel Katz and IDF Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Tamir Yadai.

At an IDF outpost overlooking Syria, Netanyahu was briefed by Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo and 210th Division commander Brig. Gen. Yair Palai on Israeli military operations in the area.

Netanyahu said Israel currently maintains what he described as “absolute control” across a strategic area stretching from Mount Hermon to the Yarmouk River and toward the Mediterranean Sea.

«“We will not allow any terrorist army to establish itself on our border,” Netanyahu said, calling the situation one of the major achievements of what he termed the “War of Redemption.”»

Netanyahu also shifted attention to Iran, declaring that Israel’s “main task is to defeat the terrorist regime in Iran,” and claiming that Israel is “very close” to achieving that objective.

“We know that the entire axis will ultimately fall,” Netanyahu said. “We are committed to doing this, and we will do it.”

He made the remarks ahead of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, while thanking Israeli soldiers stationed in the area and wishing Israelis a happy new year.
