NETANYAHU: “WE WILL TOPPLE IRAN. IT WILL FALL!”  ISRAELI PM DELIVERS BLUNT WARNING AT UN

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a sharply worded warning against Iran during his address to the United Nations General Assembly, declaring: “We will topple Iran. It will fall.”

Netanyahu also criticized delegates who walked out of the hall during his speech, accusing them of hypocrisy and questioning their response to what he described as repression and human-rights abuses inside Iran.

“To the protesters outside, to the hypocritical delegates who left this hall, I ask: Where were you when the Iranian tyrants butchered and maimed tens of thousands of unarmed Iranian civilians?” Netanyahu said.

He also accused Iran of persecuting its own population and religious minorities, asking why those governments and activists had not organized similar protests over Iran’s actions.

“No. No, you didn’t do that, because you’re phony human rights protesters,” Netanyahu said.

The Israeli prime minister has repeatedly identified Iran and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as major threats to Israel and has called for continued pressure on Tehran

The speech came amid heightened regional tensions involving Iran, Israel, Hezbollah and the Houthis, with Saudi Arabia also facing attacks attributed to the Iran-aligned Houthi movement.

Netanyahu’s remarks further emphasized his government’s stated objective of confronting Iran’s regional military network and preventing Tehran from strengthening its influence across the Middle East.

The speech also comes ahead of Israel’s October 23 election, with Netanyahu facing a political battle in which security and the regional conflict are expected to remain major issues.

However, claims that Iran is deliberately avoiding direct confrontation with Israel for the purpose of influencing Israel’s election, or that Netanyahu would seek to topple the Iranian government during a future term, remain political interpretations rather than established facts.

The broader U.S. policy toward Iran has also become a major point of debate, particularly over the extent to which Washington should directly support Israeli military operations against Iranian targets.

The developments come as tensions continue across the region, with attacks involving the Houthis, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Hezbollah and Iran-linked forces raising concerns about further escalation.

Netanyahu’s UN speech therefore represented not only a defense of Israel’s military campaign against Iran and its allies, but also a direct warning that Jerusalem intends to maintain pressure on Tehran rather than accept a return to the previous regional status quo.
