NGIZWE MCHUNU BLASTS PHAKEL’UMTHAKATHI NDABANDABA AND JACINTA NGOBESE-ZUMA, SAYS THEY ARE CHASING FAME INSTEAD OF FIGHTING FOR THE PEOPLE
Ngizwe Mchunu has publicly criticised Phakel’umthakathi Ndabandaba and Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, accusing them of seeking media attention rather than focusing on activism.
In a video shared on social media, Mchunu urged his supporters to stop marching, saying continuous protests could negatively affect the country’s economy. He argued that while demonstrations have their place, they should not continue indefinitely if they risk harming businesses and livelihoods.
Mchunu also took aim at Phakel’umthakathi Ndabandaba and Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, alleging that they are more interested in gaining publicity, social media likes and online views than serving the people. He further claimed they are “juniors” in activism who have not faced the same challenges he says he has experienced during his years of political activism.
His remarks have sparked mixed reactions online. Some people agree with his call to reduce prolonged marches and focus on other forms of activism, while others have defended Phakel’umthakathi Ndabandaba and Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma, saying everyone has the right to contribute to public debates and community issues.
Do you agree with Ngizwe Mchunu’s criticism, or do you believe Phakel’umthakathi Ndabandaba and Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma are making a positive contribution through their activism?
