Nicaragua Takes Germany to the ICJ Over Military Support for Israel
Nicaragua has brought Germany before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), accusing Berlin of contributing to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza by supplying weapons and military equipment to Israel.
Nicaragua argues that Germany is acting inconsistently by providing humanitarian assistance to Palestinians while simultaneously supplying military equipment to Israel. Berlin has sought to have the case dismissed.
The case remains before the ICJ, where the court is being asked to consider Germany’s potential responsibility over its military support for Israel amid the ongoing war in Gaza.
