NJENJE PETITIONS TEDDY CHAMA’S ELECTION IN MPULUNGU SOUTH
United Party for National Development (UPND) candidate Njenje Chizu has petitioned the election of National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Progress (NRPUP) candidate Teddy Chama as Member of Parliament for Mpulungu South Constituency.
Chama was declared winner of the Mpulungu South parliamentary election after polling 5,293 votes.
Independent candidate Leonard Mbao finished second with 4,570 votes, while Chizu came third after receiving 4,299 votes.
The petition now challenges Chama’s election and seeks the intervention of the court over the outcome of the parliamentary poll.
