North Korea Condemns Japan’s Defense White Paper as a “Reinvasion Document”
North Korea has strongly condemned Japan’s latest Defense White Paper, accusing Tokyo of using the document to justify a major military buildup.
Pyongyang particularly objected to Japan identifying North Korea as a major strategic threat, warning that Tokyo’s expanding military capabilities pose a growing danger to the region.
The latest criticism comes amid heightened tensions between North Korea and Japan, following Tokyo’s efforts to strengthen its defense capabilities and its recent test launch of a U.S.-made Tomahawk cruise missile.
North Korea described Japan’s new defense policy as part of an effort to revive its military power and potentially prepare for what Pyongyang called a “re-invasion.”
