BREAKING: North Korea Condemns NATO Summit, Rejects Denuclearization Calls
North Korea has strongly condemned the outcome of the recent NATO summit, accusing the United States and its allies of expanding military blocs and fueling a global arms race, according to a statement from Pyongyang’s Foreign Ministry carried by state media.
The regime rejected renewed calls for its denuclearization, arguing that any denuclearization process should begin with U.S. nuclear allies, including South Korea, Japan, and NATO member states participating in Washington’s nuclear-sharing arrangements.
Pyongyang also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its nuclear arsenal “both quantitatively and qualitatively,” saying the expansion of its nuclear capabilities is necessary to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and national security.
The statement underscores North Korea’s continued opposition to Western security policies and signals that it has no intention of abandoning its nuclear weapons program amid heightened regional tensions.
