UPND LOOSES 4 SEATS IN NORTH-WESTERN AND 4 SEATS IN WESTERN. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
First of all let me congratulate the people of northwestern for a sending a strong signal to the UPND party, for a long time, UPND has enjoyed the love,the sympathy and loyalty from northwestern, this loyalty made UPND to feel it owns northwestern, but that was not true.
Northwestern from time in memorial has been neglected, the only man who tried to bring light to northwestern was Mwanawasa, the rest never cared for the province,we endured ,suffered and called names but supported them, in the history of PF rule,they only managed to have 2 MPs who were won through a by election, rather than that there was nothing.
Having 4 independent MPs from northwestern Must open the eyes of the party, it is ok to loose a seat in copperbelt but not northwestern and western,these are the areas that defines UPND.
The UPND Zambia should by now start to think on where they went wrong,let’s accept that weerrored thus we need to correct our mistakes, having 4 independent candidates is not something you can ignore, people of northwestern can be loyal but they also reason, the UPND members you found in 1997 are not the same members we have today.
Today we have 4 ,tomorrow we shall have 10,what does it mean? If only the UPND can open their eyes and clean the internal mess.
